Families can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the north shore of scenic Sullivan Lake in Hall Mountain roadless area, and the hardy can hike on over sixty miles of trails that crisscross Profanity roadless area north of Sherman Pass, including the northernmost 30 miles of the Kettle Crest National Recreation Trail. Several of the top sections of the twelve-hundred-mile Pacific Northwest Trail lie in the Columbia Highlands, and an as-yet-unnamed route will connect seven roadless areas across the Kettle Crest via almost seventy miles of existing singletrack.
