Spokane Mountaineers host Columbia Highlands Initiative presentation Dec. 13

This Monday, join the Spokane Mountaineers as they host Conservation Northwest’s Tim Coleman, who will share updates on the Columbia Highlands Initiative.

The Spokane Mountaineers, a group dedicated to the conservation and enjoyment of the outdoors, has been working with Conservation Northwest and a diverse group of stakeholders to protect roadless areas in the Colville National Forest for future generations.

“Conservation Northwest has done an excellent job working with the timber industry, local governments and recreation users to forge a happy Northeast Washington Forestry Coalition,” said Jeff Lambert, past President of the Spokane Mountaineers. “More timber is being cut while protecting essential wildlife habitat.”

Spokane Mountaineers General Membership Meetings are open to the public, but this is an excellent opportunity to join the organization.

General Membership Meetings are held at 7pm at Mountain Gear Corporate HQ, 6021 E Mansfield, Spokane, WA.

Directions to Mountain Gear HQ:

Near Felts Field, go North on Fancher from Trent and turn right on Mansfield just before the tracks.
